How To Make DIY Pumpkin Hoop Wreaths?
Leftover scraps of felt can be tied onto an embroidery hoop for a fun and fringy wreath that is perfect to show off for Halloween ! It’s as easy as 1 – 2 – 3!
Instructions:
STEP ONE
Gather all supplies. Remove the label from the embroidery hoop. Loosen the screw at the top of the hoop and separate the inside hoop from the outside hoop. Tighten the screw back up. Use one piece of the hoop now and save the other for another project.

STEP TWO
For this project, use the 9″ width of the Felt Craft Cuts. Make a stack of bits and pieces that are big enough. Randomly cut the scraps of felt into strips, some skinny and some fat, with scissors. For this 4″ hoop you will need approximately 50 strips.

STEP THREE
Start tying the strips of felt around the embroidery hoop in double knots. Use the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock marks as a starting point. Continue working around the entire hoop, pushing the strips together to get as many tied on as possible. The more scrap strips tied onto the hoop the fluffier the wreath will be.

STEP FOUR
Cut a strip of Dark Brown, Dark Green, and Olive Green felt 9” long. Tie at the very top of the hoop, near the screw. Position the dark brown scrap at the top, standing up to resemble the pumpkin stem.

STEP FIVE
Flip the hoop to the back. Take one orange scrap strip and fold over the screw, so that the tails are hanging down into the center of the hoop. Attach two large wiggle eyes, one on each tail with a glue gun and glue sticks. Trim excess orange felt from under the eyes.

STEP SIX
Wrap green chenille stems around a pencil then slid off to reveal a coil. Bend in half and glue into the top if the Jack-O-Lantern near the stem. Use Ribbon or Twine as a hanger if you choose.

The perfect craft project to keep little hands busy, while learning to tie knots. Change up the colors to match your home décor for a variety of holidays. Use up fabric and ribbon scraps as well as felt.
